Do you enjoy contributing and developing your workplace? Then you could be our next co-creator!
Who are we?
De Geers School, built in 1862, is Norrköping's oldest public school and today a F–3 school with after-school care in two departments. The school is centrally located on the city's school street, Södra Promenaden, and our premises have been carefully renovated and adapted to meet the needs of our operations. The schoolyard invites both play and movement.
At De Geers School, we take a holistic view of the student, where our vision is based on joy, safety, curiosity, and learning. We particularly prioritize reading and movement as important parts of the students' development.
As a co-creator with us, we expect to be professional, have fun in our work, contribute to making others better, and always see ourselves as part of the solution.
Your responsibilities
During the school day, you will work alongside classroom teachers and may teach one or more practical/aesthetic subjects during school hours.
The main responsibility of the after-school teacher is the after-school care, after the school day ends and during school breaks. Together with other educators, you are responsible for the after-school care's activities. As an after-school teacher, you work to create a safe and stimulating environment for the students.
You plan and implement activities that support the children's physical and mental development. You collaborate closely with colleagues throughout the school to promote the students' health and well-being.
The role also includes developing student activities and engaging students in a creative way. All tasks in our operations may be included as we are a small team that works closely and unpretentiously with each other.
Who are you?
We are looking for a licensed teacher in after-school care. We see that you have experience working with younger students and with NPF. Furthermore, you are well acquainted with the governing documents of after-school care and the school. You preferably have experience or interest in a practical or aesthetic school subject, such as art, music, or sports.
You have good collaboration skills and find it easy to work with others, making your colleagues even better. You are skilled at building good relationships with both students, parents, and colleagues.
In your role as an after-school teacher, you are calm, flexible, and able to adapt to rapid changes. You are creative and bring ideas and solutions that can lead to new practices.
We expect you to be a reliable team player with a big heart, contributing positive energy and ready to help create a pleasant working environment for both colleagues and students.
Welcome with your application!
